Sophie Helpard
Acting Executive Director, Government Relations
Sophie Helpard was appointed Acting Executive Director of Government Relations on January 4, 2024.
A graduate of Western, Sophie completed a degree in Political Science (BA’16) and served as President of the University Students’ Council in 2015-2016. She rejoined the University in 2022 as Director, Government Relations.
Prior to this, she was Director of Government and University Relations for The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, and held executive director roles at both the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance and Students Nova Scotia.
