Black Excellence 365: Sustaining and Thriving in Academia

In this presentation, Campbell will examine the need to acknowledge, honour, establish and preserve Black excellence within our universities.
He will discuss the importance of engaging in brave conversations about the barriers in academia, the work needed to disrupt and dismantle anti-Black racism, and the ways we can foster change through intentional actions so we can truly say to our Black members – I SEE YOU!
Campbell holds a PhD. in Educational Leadership, Policy and Diversity. He is an Ontario Certified Teacher and has been an educator for more than 25 years in Jamaica, The Bahamas and Canada.
He is currently an academic coordinator and faculty member in the Master of Teaching Program at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, and an adjunct assistant professor at Queens University in Professional Master of Education.
